Jack Manning is the Founder and Senior Shareholder of Manning & Meyers. Mr. Manning is a Fellow of the Texas Bar College and has extensive experience in matters of Homeowners Association Law.
Since Mr. Manning’s admission to the Texas State Bar in 1966, he has devoted his entire legal career to litigation, collections and the representation of Property Owners Associations. Mr. Manning received his Bachelor of Arts in History in 1965 from Baylor University and his L.L.B. from Baylor University School of Law in 1966 and thereafter his Juris Doctorate in 1969. Mr. Manning is recognized as one of the industry’s most experienced and well-respected attorneys. He is currently serving as counsel for some of North Texas’ largest and most prestigious HOAs. He has represented countless of HOAs in matters relating to the interpretation and enforcement of governing documents, contracts, governmental negotiations and major renovation projects. He has also successfully litigated many significant cases on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Manning remains very active in the community association industry and is devoted to advancing it’s professional standards. A Senior Fellow with the State Bar of Texas and a born competitor, Mr. Manning has consistently been ranked as one of the top middle distance runners in his age group in the central Texas area. He has competed in and won an innumerable number of races.
Casey P. Meyers, Esq. has been a member of the Texas State Bar since 2006 and is the Managing Shareholder of Manning & Meyers. Mr. Meyers is Board Certified in Property Owners Association law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Only six attorneys North of Austin have the distinction of being Board Certified in Property Owners Association Law.

Mr. Meyers’ undergraduate education was received at the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with honors and his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law in 2005. An Equity Partner in Manning & Meyers, Mr. Meyers has extensive experience assisting homeowner’s associations and condominium associations in a wide variety of practice areas, such as covenant enforcement, assessment collections, and amendments to dedicatory instruments. He also assists many of our clients with their litigation and transactional matters.
Mr. Meyers is very active within the community association industry and devotes much of his time to educating homeowners and industry professionals about the legal issues affecting community associations. He prides himself on his ability to take on a matter and represent his clients to the fullest in an expedient manner. Mr. Meyers also publishes the firm’s blog and is an active triathlete, having competed in numerous Ironman races and has qualified and raced in the International Triathlon Union Long Course World Championships.
Lance J. Erickson has been a member of the Texas State Bar since May 2010. Mr. Erickson received his undergraduate Bachelor of Sciences degree from Brigham Young University in 2005 and played for the BYU football team. Mr. Erickson received his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2010. Out of law school, Mr. Erickson worked for Allmand & Lee where he represented more than 700 individuals and small businesses seeking bankruptcy protection in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. Mr. Erickson was most recently employed at a national real-estate firm representing major financial institutions and mortgage servicers in Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, and other civil matters.
Mr. Erickson is a member of the Bankruptcy Section of the Texas Bar as well as a member of the Houston Area Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. Mr. Erickson is fluent in Russian, having served for two years in Moscow, Russian Federation as a missionary.
Jane Cherry has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 2013, focusing her practice on real estate and business litigation. Jane has advised and represented clients in contract disputes, consumer litigation, and regulatory matters. Before joining Manning & Meyers in 2021, Jane worked as a litigator for two other Dallas-based law firms and as the associate general counsel for a presidential campaign.
Jane earned her Juris Doctor from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Jane was the managing editor of the Journal of Air Law and Commerce for the SMU Law Review, an intern to U.S. District Court Judge Robert Dawson, and an intern to Texas Fifth Court of Appeals Justice Kerry FitzGerald. Before studying law, Jane held positions in politics and government in Washington, D.C. Jane has a Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University.
Jane is a member of the Litigation and Real Estate sections of the Texas Bar and is a Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation Fellow.
